ABOUT ME
Lisa M. Lucero has written for various newspapers. As a reporter, she has covered a wide range of subjects including: government, education, crime, arts and entertainment, and community events. Her experience as a journalist has helped develop her writing skills in both journalistic and creative fields. Waves Crashing was her first novel.

Lucero grew up in McPherson, Kansas. She graduated from McPherson High School and Fort Hays State University where she earned her bachelor's degree in communications. She also attended Hutchinson Community College, where she majored in journalism.
She is married to Jeremy Shapiro and has a son. She currently resides in Newton, Iowa.

During her spare time, she loves to travel, read, listen to music, and spend time with her family.
Lucero is currently employed at Grinnell College as an administrative assistant I- data and records. She recently published her third novel, "The Re-Creation of the Death Firm." Lucero is in the progress of writing her fourth novel.
